事務所を開設したばかりの頃、東京の古本屋で偶然手に取った『Beginnings』そして『光跡』
これらの本は、以来ずっと私達の思考の根底を形づくってきました。

審査員の香山壽夫先生には大変光栄な評価をいただき深く感謝申し上げます。
また、JIA長野建築賞の主催者の皆様には丁寧な審査と貴重な機会をいただきましたこと心より御礼申し上げます。

We are honored to share that the house we designed and supervised, the “House of Light Traces,” has been awarded the Grand Prize of the JIA Nagano Architecture Award.

At the very beginning of our practice, we happened to find two books—“Beginnings” and “Koseki (Light Traces)”—in a secondhand bookstore in Tokyo.
These unexpected encounters have since become guiding principles for our thinking and have shaped the foundation of our work.
When I told this story to Professor Kayama, he was genuinely surprised and delighted by the coincidence.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the JIA Nagano Architecture Award, hosted by the Japan Institute of Architects (JIA), for their thoughtful consideration and for providing us with such a valuable opportunity.
